Marvel Champions: The Card Game is a cooperative, living card game, featuring Marvel superheroes. It was live by Fantasy Flight Games since 2019. Furthermore, players control decks representing heroes from the Marvel Universe, and work together to defeat a villain that is attempting to complete a “Scheme”. Players can customise their hero’s deck, and the game includes various modular encounters to customise villain scenarios.
This game is played using player cards, which consist of hero decks, aspect cards, and basic cards. Villain cards made up of villain decks, main schemes, encounter sets. Moreover, status cards used to track when characters have the game’s various conditions applied to them. Various tokens to track damage to minions and allies, villain progress toward completing a scheme, or other resources generated by cards; and dials to track hero and villain health.
Marvel Champions: The Card Game invites players to embody iconic heroes from the Marvel Universe as they battle. With the aim of stopping the infamous villains from enacting their devious schemes. As a Living Card Game, Marvel Champions is supported with regular releases of new product, including new heroes and scenarios.
Lastly, as a cooperative living card game, you and your friends become the legendary heroes, battling against notorious villains to save the day. Customisable decks allow you to create your ideal hero, utilising their unique abilities, signature cards, and upgrades.
